2024 is around the corner and with the new year, we’ve got quite a decent setlist of new animes, while most of them are unplanned and the dates are still not announced, here are a few animes that will be streaming across multiple platforms like Netflix, Hotstar, Hulu, and Crunchyroll. We’ve included the popular ones and the ones that will probably go under the radar.
7. Sengoku Youko:- based on the manga series by Satoshi Mizukami, The story follows around a world where humans and monsters called katawara are divided. Tama a katawara loves humans and falls in love with one whereas on the other hand, her brother despises humans mostly being one. With 37 episodes this anime promises to be one of the best animes of 2024. If you are willing to know more about the story, the manga is certainly a must-check.
6. Bottom-tier character Tomozaki’s second stage ( Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun 2nd Stage)
Also based on the Japanese light novel of the same name the plot follows Fumiya Tomozaki who is a high school student and struggles with the lack of social skills despite being on the leaderboards of a very popular multiplayer game. Lack of social skills makes his school life difficult especially around girls, who later find out the true identity of another top-tier player of the same game, Aoi Hinami who’s the complete opposite of him, with high social bonding skills and an extroverted personality the instant connection clicks when both of them learn their true identities.
5. My instant death ability is so overpowered:- Awaking to absolute chaos and carnage while on a school trip, Yogiri Takatou discovers that everyone in his class has been transported to another world! He had somehow managed to sleep through the entire ordeal himself, missing out on the Gift—powers bestowed upon the others by a mysterious Sage who appeared to transport them, things take a turn when one of his friends who was abandoned by his classmates was in danger as he was left as a bait o distract a dragon, although not bothered by the thought of dying, he reluctantly decides to protect his lone companion. The story is quite intriguing as the main power of the main character is nothing else but instant death ability.
4. Blue Exorcist S3:- Anime watchers are no strangers to this anime, Blue Exorcist returns with another season, following the Shimane Illuminati Saga, which officially begins airing in Japan on the 6th of January, 2024. For the people who have not watched the anime ( your anime taste is questionable then), The anime revolves around the main character Rin who comes to know that He and His brother are the sons of Satan born in a human world and it’s he who is the inheritor of Satan’s power. In contrast, there are Exorcists, people who train to destroy demons who act in a damaging manner in Assiah.
3. Classroom of the Elite S3:- Classroom of the Elite comes back with its 3rd season the next year, the Japanese light novel follows the 8th volume of the manga series. Set in a world where the Japanese government has established the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, dedicated to instructing and fostering the generation of people that will support the country in the future.
The story follows the perspective of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, a quietly unassuming, and introverted boy who is not good at making friends and would rather keep his distance, but possesses unrivaled intelligence and incredible physical abilities is a student of Class D, which is where the school dumps its inferior students, widely considered “defective”. After meeting Suzune Horikita and Kikyo Kushida, two other students in his class, the situation begins to change and he starts to get involved in many affairs, and his thought of an ideal normal high school life begins to get scattered.
2. Unwanted Undead Adventurer:- (Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha) is the light novel adaptation of the web novel series of the same name. Announced at the overlap Bunko 9th anniversary online event in 2022, the series is set to premiere on the 8th of January 2024. The plot revolves around Rentt who is an unskilled adventurer. However, without much talent for the job, Rentt finds himself stuck hunting slimes and goblins for meager amounts of coin every day. Little does he know, that all this is about to change when he comes across a seemingly undiscovered path in the Labyrinth of the Moon’s Reflection. at the end of the path, however, is neither treasure nor riches, but a legendary dragon that wastes no time swallowing him whole! Waking up a short time later, Rentt finds himself not quite dead, but not very alive either—he is nothing more than a pile of bones! Armed with nothing but his trusty sword, tool belt, and ghoulish new looks, Rentt sets off on his quest as a newly reborn Skeleton to achieve Existential Evolution, hoping to one day return to civilization with a more human form.
1. Solo Levelling:- If you do not live under any rock or inside any prehistoric cave you surely know what solo levelling is. The much-loved manwha is finally, finally getting animated by A-1 picture studios and produced by Crunchyroll. The story is set in a world where 10 years ago a gate appeared and connected the real monsters and humans and to deal with the monsters the ordinary people received extraterrestrial and inhuman powers when incomes the protagonist Sung Jin Woo, despite being the weakest hunter around owing to his pathetic power compared to even a measly E-Rank, he hunts monsters tirelessly in low-rank Gates to pay for his mother’s medical bills and works his way up, makes sure to not miss out on this anime in the year 2024.
