Arjun Gourisaria
Arjun Gourisaria, a distinguished Indian editor, filmmaker, producer, and musician, has made a significant impact on Indian advertising filmmaking from 1995 to 2010. Noteworthy for his editing work on acclaimed films like Tanvir ka Safarnama and Gulabi Gang, and for producing Patalghar, the first Bengali sci-fi film, Gourisaria has earned recognition at international film festivals. His directorial debut, Sthaniya Sambad, won the Best Film Award at the New York Indian Film Festival. Now residing in Kolkata, he is also a talented Hindustani classical musician.

At Esperanza 4.0, Arjun Gourisaria will present “The Art of Storytelling in the Age of AI,” offering insights into how artificial intelligence is transforming narrative techniques and storytelling practices in contemporary media. Anuradha Sharma
Anuradha Sharma began her journalism career in Siliguri with The Telegraph, where she covered diverse topics from politics to wildlife in the region. Transitioning to freelance journalism in 2011, she has contributed to leading publications focusing on South Asian politics and culture. In addition to her journalism, she is involved in community service and youth empowerment.
Anuradha will be addressing “Media and Climate Change Advocacy,” focusing on how journalism can be a powerful force in promoting environmental awareness and action. She will explore the role of media in highlighting climate issues, the challenges of environmental reporting, and successful case studies where media has driven significant change. Anuradha will also discuss innovative strategies for enhancing environmental journalism and call for a concerted effort from journalists and media outlets to address climate change effectively. Dr. Sonam B. Wangyal
Sonam Wangyal, a former member of India’s paramilitary forces, achieved a historic milestone in mountaineering by becoming the youngest person to summit Mount Everest at the age of 23 in 1965. He was a key member of the renowned Indian Everest Expedition led by Captain M.S. Kohli, who successfully reached the peak with nine climbers. This remarkable feat made Wangyal the third Indian and the eighteenth person globally to achieve this summit. He accomplished this milestone alongside Sonam Gyatso, the expedition’s oldest member at 42. Today, Wangyal continues to inspire the next generation of climbers in his role at the Sonam Gyatso Mountaineering Institute.

Anjan Chakraborty
Anjan Chakraborty, a former journalist who has transitioned into an entrepreneur and digital media coach, is now making notable progress as the Co-Founder and CEO of Estory Infocom, a cybersecurity consultancy and training firm based in Kolkata. His rich background in journalism, which includes nineteen years at esteemed organizations like ABP Group, Reuters, Hindustan Times, and The Statesman, has seamlessly translated into his current entrepreneurial and academic roles. Alongside his leadership at Estory Infocom, Chakraborty has contributed to academia as a member of the Advisory Board at the School of Mass Communication, JECRC University in Jaipur, and has been acknowledged for his innovative work as an evaluator for the Smart India Hackathon 2022. His proficiency in digital newsrooms is further exemplified by his training of over a hundred journalists at Reuters in Bangalore and ABP Group in Kolkata.

Dr. Firoz Mohammed

Currently the Dean of the School of Media and Design at Inspiria Knowledge Campus, Dr. Firoz Mohammed boasts a distinguished career in both media and education. He has held key positions at prestigious institutions, including the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Manipal University Dubai, Bayan College, and the University of Wollongong in Dubai. His extensive career is further enhanced by his involvement in significant media research projects, such as the Ford Foundation – UNDP Media South Asia Project and the Nordic Consulting Group’s Cross-Boundary Media Initiatives. With a Doctorate in Social Systems from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Dr. Firoz brings over twenty years of global experience in higher education leadership. His expertise encompasses academic administration, curriculum development, and team management, with a proven track record in overseeing academic programs and campus operations.
