The 66th Grammy Awards honored the best musicians in the field, the best musicians, composers, and songwriters from October 1’ 2022 to September 15’2023, and chosen by the members of the recording committee.
For this year the recording committee made a few changes to the event. Three new categories were introduced, i.e best African music performance, best alternative jazz, and best pop dance recording, which totals up to 94 categories. The show witnessed a lot of legendary artists together sharing tables.

Held in LA California, at the Crypto.com arena, the show was once again hosted by the South African Comedian, writer, and late-night talk show host Trevor Noah. Phoebe Bridgers won the most number of awards, racking up a total of 4 Grammys while SZA the current RnB sensation was the most nominated artist with 9 nominations. The pair also went onto win the award for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Ghost in the Machine’.
Phoebe Bridgers took an early lead at the 66th Academy Awards, winning four trophies ahead of the main telecast, with her and her boygenius bandmates galloping past most artists.
Amongst the popular awards, yes you guessed it, It was Taylor Swift who won the Album of the Year for the fourth time, the most in the history of the award ceremony.
Midnights by Taylor Siwft went on to win the category. On November 5, 2022, Taylor debuted all 10 songs from her album on the Billboard Hot100 top 10, becoming the first ever artist to do so.
And on top of all that Taylor announced her new album at the award function while collecting the award for the best album. ” The Tortured Poets Department” will be released on the 19th of April’ 2024.
“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years,” she said .”Which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department.” mentioned the 14 times academy award winner.
Miley Cyrus won her first-ever Grammy and performed Flowers right after it, which also won the title for the Record of the Year.
‘What Was I Made for?’ from Barbie’s Original Soundtrack by Billie Eilish won the Grammy for the song of the year, which marked Billie’s 9th Grammy, and also performed it later in the show.
Rnb Sensation SZA performed her annual hit Kill-Bill and Snooze at the Grammy’s and also won the award for the best RnB track with the latter.
Amongst Latin artists, Karol G won her first ever Grammy with her song MANANA SERA BONITO, which was awarded for the best Musica Urbana Album.
Jack Antonoff won the Grammy for producer of the Year (NON CLASSICAL) at the 2024 grammy, competing against the likes of D’Mile, Emile II, Hit-Boy, Metro Boomin and Daniel Nigro.

Olivia Rodrigo showcased her vocals once again at this year’s Recording Academy Awards when she performed her lead single Vampire from the 2022 best-selling album GUTS. The pop sensation glowed in a red silk dress and bold matching lips as she lamented “ I used to think I was smart but you made me look so naive”. The whole performance got dramatic when blood started pouring from Olivia’s arm to her face and chest leaving the singer smeared in it.
Vampire was nominated for three Grammy awards, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Dua Lipa who was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media for Dance the Night from Barbie the album, also performed a medley of her songs, including ‘Training Season,’ ‘Dance the Night’ and ‘Houdini.
